Hi I'm Ike! When Ike's Hangers came to be my wife and I owned a retail business selling clothing and one of the products we sold were leggings, we were having a hard time deciding on the way to store/display them. If we folded and stacked them, there wasn't' enough of the pattern showing. If we rolled them, our customers had to mess around and dig in a bin, unroll, re-roll while praying they get it right, and then we always had a mess to clean up when they left. We even had customers tell us they didn't enjoy rummaging through the bins because they felt like they were going through our personal items!!! When we finally figured out we wanted to hang them up we discovered how hard it was to find hangers that fit our needs. The ones we did find were bulky, didn't fits our rods, and were constantly out of stock. So we decided to solve our problem by making our own. We wanted to make the best hangers we could but still have a simple and elegant design. All sorts of ideas were considered, but we finally chose stainless steel. It is much more expensive than regular steel, but doesn't rust or need paint. It is also very strong. The shape of the hanger is very simple, making it faster and easier to manufacture (something that is important when making things by hand).
It just so happens that people loved them and asked if we would make them to sell, so we said yes. Our patent pending hangers are made by hand right here in the United States out of stainless steel and will not rust.
Helping people is one of our passions. That is why we decided to continue making these hangers and sharing them with the rest of the world. The stainless steel for our hangers is purchased locally to help support local families. We feel like everyone is family, even if they live somewhere far away.
